Field of Sports and PHE
The importance of games and sports cannot be neglected and since we recognize the need of the hour for the overall development of the all round personality of a child. We consider that sports are a way of life. In our school, a variety of games and sports facilities based on the need and interest of the child are provided. This help the child to understand that a sound and a fit body is a must for academic excellence also. Through a wide range of the programmes of games and sports, many values such as teamwork, self control, discipline, courage, confidence, perseverance, determination and sense of belongingness can be instilled among the children.
Inter-house games and sports competitions are conducted every now and then. Our school teams participate in zonal and interzonal and CBSE tournaments.We have high quality teachers and coaches to impart proper coaching. Our constant effort is to ensure that our children make rapid progress in the field of physical education.
Wall Magazines
These magazines, which are in the form of visual displays on prominent bulletin boards in the school, are meant specifically to keep the students informed on subjects of topical interest Preparation for these magazines entails a great deal of research and involves the students in useful and productive activity which gives them not only an awareness of vital issues, thereby increasing their general knowledge, but educates them indifferent forms of art and craft and develops in them an aesthetic sense.
Educational Tours
The school conducts educational tours from time to time to cover India. Extensive tours are organized to make the students aware of India’s rich heritage and rapid transformation.
Socially Useful Productive Work
Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) has been included in the curriculum as a compulsory subject. It is compulsory for every student to put in the specified number of work hours to clear this subject for the Secondary and Senior School Certificate Examination of the CBSE. Introduction of SUPW in the curriculum inculcates proper interest, attitudes and values among the students.
House System & Student Council
The students are divided into four houses which are headed by Captains and Vice-Captains who take their guidance from the House Mistresses. Inter-House competitions are organized in various cultural and co-curricular activities. The house system fosters a spirit of cooperation and healthy competition.

The Environment Council
Environment- protection, promotion and conservation has been included as a mandatory subject in the school curriculum. Student from classes VI-IX have been offered this subject as an activity. Class IX-XII are involved in various environmental activities through different projects. The concerns of the Council are multifarious like tree plantation, anti-cracker campaign, air and water monitoring, vermicomposting, solid waste management, protection of built and natural heritage and other related activities. The Environment Council celebrated various important ‘days’ given by the United Nations and the calendar provided by the Environment in Education Cultural Council, not only works at enhancing the school environment but extends its work towards awakening and solving community concerns. |
